Women’s Month in South Africa
Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5, Gender Equality, is in focus this Women’s Month in South Africa. The Goal hopes to “Ensure women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making in political, economic, and public life” by 2030. Finalist of the SDG Initiative of the Year Award
The SDG/2063 Impact Hub has been selected as a finalist in the ACEEU, Triple E Awards for SDG Initiative of the Year. These awards are a global recognition of efforts towards the quest for entrepreneurship and engagement in higher education. Our Programme Manager will be travelling to Barcelona to take part in the Awards and the partnered conference on Engaged and Entrepreneurial Universities for Sustainable Development – linking education, research and innovation to achieve the SDGs.

Climate expert: Scandal that Africa gets so little research funding.
It’s grossly unfair and morally wrong that funding for climate change research on Africa is a very small proportion of global climate research funding, said globally renowned climate change researcher Guy Midgley.
