Reports

The 2024/2025 Sustainable Development Annual Report captures a year of human-centric progress for global and continental sustainability. Weaving the SDGs and Goals of Agenda 2063, this report explores how the African philosophy of Ubuntu – I am because we are – provides the compass for modern sustainable development. As we navigate the AU’s Decade of Acceleration, our report highlights how SU is contributing to sustainability in Africa in service to society. By aligning the UN 2030 Agenda with the AU’s Agenda 2063, we present SU’s journey where academic excellence and social impact are inseparable, driving us toward a resilient and unified Africa We Want.

2021/2022 Annual Report

SU has a vision to be the leading research-intensive university on the African continent, and to be globally recognized as excellent, inclusive, and innovative, and a place where we advance knowledge in service of society. We believe in living this vision daily through the work that we do in teaching and learning, research, and ensuring a societal impact. One of the aspirations for the realization of our vision is to be a systemically sustainable institution.
